Heritage Lottery Fund

An Gaeláras has been successful in securing Development Phase funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund which is helping to establish the condition of the building and refine future plans. For more information on the work of the HLF please visit its website www.hlf.org.uk

“From the archaeology under our feet to the historic parks we love, from precious memories to rare wildlife… we use money raised by National Lottery players to help people across the UK explore, enjoy and protect the heritage they care about.”

Architectural Heritage Fund

The project is also being supported by the Architectural Heritage Fund and was featured as a case study in the organisation’s Annual Report 2016 -17. A copy of the report can be accessed here. The AHF use their knowledge, experience and resources to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy the “cultural, social and economic benefits of a vibrant and well-managed architectural heritage.”

More information about the AHF and its work can be found at www.ahfund.org.uk

The Pilgrim Trust

The Pilgrim Trust was established over 80 years ago and supports projects where its funds will make the greatest impact. Around 60% of funds are given to preservation projects, particularly those aimed at preserving the fabric of architecturally or historically significant buildings. The remaining funds are allocated to social welfare causes. Further information about The Pilgrim Trust can be found here.

Thanks also to the Honourable The Irish Society for their support.
