The Droichead Project in Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin in partnership with Linda Ervine will run a series of events running on 23rd, 24th and 28th May 2019 exploring the Irish Language. For many years Linda Ervine has worked in partnership with The Droichead Project in Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin, and together they have programmed a series of events in a variety of venues across the Waterside, culminating in a film screening and panel discussion in First Derry Presbyterian Church.
We want to make information about the language accessible to everyone so we have both daytime and evening events, in rural and urban locations and in welcoming venues. Linda is an engaging and thought-provoking speaker and we hope the series encourages people to come along and learn something about the language that is all around us, but sometimes goes unnoticed.
Lunch is available at the day time events and refreshments in the evening. Rural transport is available to the event in the Sollus Centre.
