Traditions Meet brings together talented local musicians and dancers from Traditional Irish, Marching Bands, Ulster Scots and contemporary disciplines in a celebration of the richness and diversity of the musical heritage and culture found in the North West region.

Created as part of the PEACE IV funded CultureFuse programme, the showcase includes original pieces created by the renowned musician and composer Sid Peacock, and features Highland and Irish dancers who have been choreographed by award winning Highland dancer and choreographer Georgina Kee McCarter.

The evening will include a performance by the hugely talented Birmingham based duo Peacock Angell whose debut CD 'Love Forgiven' was released in 2011. Their performance features pieces from ‘Songs from the Shipyard’ and self-composed works alongside traditional songs and the settings of poems to music. "Reviewing music is like prospecting for gold. You spend ages digging and just once in a while you come across a nugget, something that shines out above the rest. This exquisite album is just such a nugget..." - Peter Cowley FATEA MAGAZINE
